I'm still around!

Don't worry, fans! I am still around! I have so many posts in the hopper you will all be amazed--I've had two HUGE cooking extravaganzas in the meantime.

I've been desperately trying to finish my dissertation, wish me luck!

Wowser, a dissertation. I remember when my da was doing his, he was buried. We'll be here when you surface.

Welcome to The Joy of The Joy of Cooking (otherwise known as TJOTJOC). I'm cooking my way through the premier American cookbook and I know you want to join me!

I don't post the recipes. I DON'T POST THE RECIPES AND I WON'T SEND YOU THE RECIPES. Go buy the book, I'll wait. The old posts are based on the 2006 edition, the newer posts are based on the 2019 edition, and they are tagged appropriately.

If you don't read food blogs because they make you feel insecure about your less than perfect cooking, this is the blog for you! No perfection here. My pictures are terrible and my technique would get me ejected from culinary school.
